What LPI treats?

LPI (Laser Peripheral Iridotomy) treats:

  • Angle-closure glaucoma risk
  • Prevents acute angle-closure attacks
LPI creates a small opening in the iris to allow fluid to drain properly and prevent a sudden pressure spike that can cause permanent vision loss. LPI is often performed on both eyes (prophylactic for the other eye).
